Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Before you begin, ensure the Motorola Moto G15 is completely powered off. Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power off' from the menu. This prevents any accidental short circuits during the repair.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry open the back cover of the device. Start at a corner and gently work your way around the edges. Be patient and avoid using excessive force to prevent damage to the cover.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector on the motherboard and use a spudger to gently pry it off. This step is crucial to ensure safety while working on the device.
Heat and Remove the Front Screen
Use an iOpener or hairdryer to apply heat evenly around the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Once heated, use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly, and insert a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the screen from the frame.
Detach the Old Screen
Once the screen is loosened, gently lift it, and use tweezers to disconnect the ribbon cable connecting the screen to the motherboard. Carefully remove the old screen.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device frame and connect the ribbon cable to the motherboard. Ensure the connection is secure, then gently press the screen into place.
Secure the Screen with Adhesive
Apply adhesive strips or double-sided tape around the edges of the frame. Carefully press the screen down to secure it firmly in place.
Reconnect the Battery and Replace the Back Cover
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Once connected, replace the back cover by aligning it with the device and pressing down until it clicks into place securely.
Power On and Test the Device
Power on the Motorola Moto G15 and test the new screen. Ensure touch functionality and display quality are as expected. If everything works correctly, the repair is complete.
