Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Prepare the Device
Ensure the phone is completely powered off. Remove the SIM and SD cards if applicable. This will prevent data loss and protect the internal components during the repair.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry around the edges of the back cover to release the clips. Be careful not to damage the clips or the back cover.
Unscrew the Midframe
Using a precision Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws securing the midframe. Note the location of each screw, as they may vary in size. Gently remove the midframe.
Disconnect the Battery
Using tweezers or a plastic opening tool, carefully disconnect the battery connector to ensure no power is flowing through the device during repairs.
Heat and Remove the Broken Screen
Use a heat gun or hairdryer on a low setting to gently heat the edges of the screen. This helps soften the adhesive holding the screen. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool to begin separating the screen from the frame. Work slowly to avoid damaging the internal components.
Disconnect the Display Cable
Once the screen is partially lifted, locate and disconnect the display cable connecting the screen to the motherboard. Use a plastic tool to gently release the connector.
Install the New Screen
Carefully connect the new screen's display cable to the motherboard. Ensure the connection is secure. Align the new screen with the frame and press it into place. Use double-sided adhesive tape or pre-cut adhesive strips to secure the screen.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery connector. Reattach the midframe and secure it with the screws. Snap the back cover into place, ensuring all clips are secure.
