Motorola Moto G20 - Screen Replacement
Tools Required
- Phillips #00 screwdriver
- Plastic opening tool
- Suction cup
- Heat gun or hair dryer
- Tweezers
- SIM card eject tool

Follow these 11 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button until the power menu appears. Tap 'Power Off' to completely shut down your Moto G20.
Remove SIM Card Tray
Use the SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the side of the phone. Set the tray aside in a safe place.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Using a heat gun or hair dryer, gently heat the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Be careful not to overheat the device.
Separate the Screen from the Frame
Place the suction cup on the screen and gently pull to create a small gap. Insert the plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work around the edges to separate the screen from the frame.
Remove the Back Cover
Use the plastic opening tool to carefully pry open and remove the back cover of the phone.
Disconnect Battery and Screen Connectors
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the protective metal plate over the connectors. Use tweezers to disconnect the battery and screen connectors.
Remove Old Screen
Carefully lift the screen away from the frame. Ensure all adhesive is removed and the area is clean before placing the new screen.
Install the New Screen
Place the new screen onto the frame, aligning it properly. Connect the screen connector and secure it with the metal plate and screws.
Reattach Back Cover
Carefully place the back cover onto the device and press firmly around the edges to ensure it is securely attached.
Reinsert SIM Card Tray
Insert the SIM card tray back into its slot.
Power On the Device
Press and hold the power button to turn on your Moto G20. Test the new screen to ensure it is functioning correctly.
