Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button on the side of the Moto G200 5G until the power menu appears. Select 'Power Off' and wait for the device to fully shut down.
Remove SIM Card Tray
Use a SIM eject tool or a paperclip to eject the SIM card tray from the side of the device. Remove the tray and set it aside.
Heat the Edges
Using a heat gun or hairdryer, gently heat the edges of the phone’s front to soften the adhesive. Move the heat source evenly around the edges for about 2-3 minutes.
Create a Gap
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen. Gently lift the suction cup to create a small gap between the screen and the frame. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap.
Remove the Screen
Carefully slide the plastic opening tool around the edges to separate the screen from the adhesive. Use a spudger to disconnect the screen’s flex cable. Remove the screen entirely once detached.
Clean the Frame
Use isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth to clean any leftover adhesive from the phone's frame. Ensure the surface is smooth and free of debris.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen’s flex cable and connect it to the motherboard. Carefully place the screen onto the frame and ensure proper alignment.
Secure the Screen
Apply the pre-cut adhesive strips around the edges of the frame. Press the new screen firmly into place to ensure a secure fit.
Reassemble the Device
Reinsert the SIM card tray. Power on the device to test the new screen functionality. Ensure all features like touch sensitivity and display clarity are working correctly.
Final Check
Perform a final check by testing all screen functions including touch response, display quality, and brightness. Ensure the screen is securely attached with no gaps.
