Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Turn off your Moto G24 Power completely. Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the phone. Use a SIM eject tool to remove the tray and set the SIM card aside.
Remove Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry around the edges of the back cover until it pops off. Work slowly to avoid damaging the plastic clips that secure the cover.
Detach Battery Connector
Locate the battery connector and use a spudger to carefully disconnect it from the motherboard. This step is crucial to prevent electrical shorts during the repair.
Heat and Loosen Adhesive
Use a heat gun or a hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the screen for about 1-2 minutes. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place.
Remove the Broken Screen
Place a suction cup on the screen and gently lift to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and slowly work around the edges to separate the screen from the device. Be careful not to damage the internal components.
Disconnect Display Cables
Once the screen is loose, carefully open it like a book. Use tweezers to disconnect the display cables from the motherboard.
Install New Screen
Align the new screen with the device and reconnect the display cables to the motherboard. Ensure they are securely attached.
Secure the New Screen
Apply new adhesive strips or double-sided tape around the edges of the frame. Press the new screen firmly into place, ensuring it is well-seated.
Reconnect Battery and Reassemble
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Reattach the back cover by pressing it firmly around the edges until it clicks into place.
Test the New Screen
Reinsert the SIM card and power on the device. Test the functionality of the new screen to ensure it responds correctly to touch inputs and displays properly.
