Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Hold the power button on your Moto G3 until the power options appear. Tap 'Power off' and wait for the device to shut down completely.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry the back cover off starting from one corner. Work your way around the device until the back cover is completely removed.
Remove the Battery
Once the back cover is off, use the plastic opening tool to gently lift the battery from its compartment. Disconnect the battery connector carefully.
Unscrew the Midframe
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the midframe. Keep track of the screws as they will be reused. Carefully separate the midframe using a spudger.
Detach the Screen Assembly
Locate the display connector and use a spudger to disconnect it. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to slightly warm the edges of the screen to loosen the adhesive. Use a suction cup to gently lift the screen from the frame, starting from a corner.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the frame. Connect the display connector back to the motherboard. Ensure that the screen is seated properly and apply adhesive strips to secure it in place.
Reassemble the Phone
Reattach the midframe by aligning it and securing it with the screws. Reinsert the battery and reconnect the battery connector. Snap the back cover back on starting from one side and working around the device.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and check the new screen for responsiveness and display quality. Ensure all functions, such as touch sensitivity and display clarity, work as expected.
