Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Prepare
Turn off your Motorola Moto G40 Fusion completely. Use the SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray and set it aside.
Heat and Loosen Adhesive
Use a heating pad or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the screen. This will soften the adhesive securing the screen, making it easier to remove. Be cautious not to overheat the device.
Remove the Back Cover
Insert the plastic opening tool into the seam between the back cover and the body of the phone. Carefully work your way around the edges to release the clips holding the back cover in place. Lift off the back cover gently once all clips are released.
Remove Internal Screws
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove all screws securing the midframe to the device. Keep track of all screws and their positions for reassembly.
Detach Battery Connector
Use the nylon spudger to carefully disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard. This is a crucial safety step to prevent short circuits during the repair.
Remove the Old Screen
Gently lift the screen using a suction cup and the plastic opening tool. If necessary, apply more heat to soften the adhesive. Carefully disconnect the display connector from the motherboard.
Install the New Screen
Clean the frame with isopropyl alcohol to remove any adhesive residue. Align the new screen to the device and connect the display connector to the motherboard. Secure the screen with adhesive strips or double-sided tape.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery connector and place the midframe back into position. Secure it with the screws you removed earlier. Attach the back cover by aligning it and pressing down until all clips snap into place.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for functionality. Ensure that touch response and display quality are as expected.
