Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Begin by powering off your Moto G53 completely. Once powered off, use the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device.
Heat the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover. This will loosen the adhesive securing the cover to the device. Be careful not to overheat the device.
Pry Open the Back Cover
Using a plastic opening tool, carefully pry around the edges of the back cover to release it from the device. Avoid using excessive force to prevent damaging the cover or internal components.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate and unscrew any visible screws securing the battery connector shield. Remove the shield and use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Screen
Gently heat the front of the device to loosen the adhesive securing the screen. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the screen from the frame. Disconnect any display connectors once the screen is lifted.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device frame and connect the display connectors. Ensure the screen is properly seated and no cables are pinched. Secure the screen with adhesive strips or double-sided tape.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Replace the connector shield and secure it with screws.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the device and press firmly around the edges to secure it with the remaining adhesive. Apply gentle heat if necessary to ensure a snug fit.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for functionality. Check for proper touch responsiveness and display clarity. Reinsert the SIM card tray once testing is complete.
