Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Down the Device
Press and hold the power button until the power-off menu appears. Select 'Power off' to completely shut down your Moto G54.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer on low heat to warm the edges of the back cover for about 1-2 minutes. This softens the adhesive. Insert a plastic opening tool into the seam and gently pry around the edges to release the back cover.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Use a plastic spudger to gently lift and disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Battery
Carefully use the plastic spudger to lift the battery. Start from the edges and work your way around, being careful not to bend or puncture the battery. If necessary, apply a small amount of heat to the back of the phone to loosen the adhesive.
Insert the New Battery
Place the new battery into the battery compartment and press it firmly to secure it with the existing adhesive or new adhesive strips. Ensure the battery connector aligns with the motherboard connector.
Reconnect the Battery
Using the tweezers, gently reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Ensure it is securely attached.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the phone and press firmly around the edges to ensure it adheres properly. If the cover does not stick well, use new adhesive strips.
Power On and Test the Device
Press the power button to turn on your Moto G54. Verify that the device powers on and check the battery status to confirm the new battery is recognized and functioning correctly.
