Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Prepare the Phone
Turn off the Motorola Moto G55 5G completely. Once the device is off, remove any SIM cards or microSD cards from the device. This will prevent any data loss or damage during the repair process.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently warm the edges of the back cover for about 1-2 minutes to soften the adhesive. Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back cover and gently pull to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work around the edges to release the adhesive and remove the cover.
Disconnect the Battery Connector
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector cover and carefully lift the cover with a spudger. Use the spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Battery
Use a spudger or plastic card to carefully pry up the battery from the phone's frame. Be cautious not to bend or puncture the battery. If the adhesive is strong, apply more heat and gently use isopropyl alcohol to weaken the adhesive.
Install the New Battery
Remove any remaining adhesive from the phone's frame using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Align the new battery into the frame and press down firmly to ensure it adheres well. Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard.
Reattach the Back Cover
Replace the screws on the battery connector cover and secure them with the Phillips #00 screwdriver. Align the back cover on the phone and press it firmly around the edges to secure the adhesive. If needed, apply gentle heat to ensure the cover adheres properly.
Test the New Battery
Power on the device to ensure everything is functioning correctly. Check that the battery is charging and holding a charge properly. Reinsert any SIM or microSD cards that were removed.
