Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Begin by powering off your Motorola Moto G55 5G. Use the SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray and set it aside safely.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently warm the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Carefully insert a plastic opening tool into the seam between the back cover and the frame. Slide the tool around the edges to release the clips and remove the back cover.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Use a spudger to carefully disconnect the battery connector to prevent accidental short circuits.
Remove the Old Screen
Use the heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the screen. Place a suction cup on the screen and gently pull to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and slide it around the edges to loosen the adhesive. Carefully lift and remove the old screen.
Install the New Screen
Place adhesive strips or double-sided tape around the edges of the new screen. Carefully align the screen with the frame and press it firmly into place to ensure a secure fit.
Reconnect the Battery and Test the Screen
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Power on the device to test the new screen for functionality. Ensure that the touch response and display are working correctly.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the device and press it firmly into place. Ensure that all clips are securely fastened. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
