Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power Off' on the screen to turn off the device completely. Wait until the screen is black before proceeding.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Use a SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the side of the phone. Set it aside in a safe place.
Heat the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to evenly heat the edges of the back cover. This softens the adhesive, making it easier to remove. Do not overheat to avoid damage.
Pry Open the Back Cover
Use a suction cup to lift the back cover slightly, then insert a plastic opening tool. Gently work around the edges to separate the adhesive without bending the cover.
Disconnect the Battery
Remove the screws securing the battery connector cover using a Phillips #00 screwdriver. Lift the cover with tweezers and disconnect the battery connector using a spudger.
Remove the Old Battery
Carefully insert the spudger under the battery to break the adhesive. Pry gently to lift the battery out. Avoid bending or puncturing the battery.
Install the New Battery
Place the new adhesive strips into the battery compartment. Align the new battery and press it firmly to secure it in place. Reconnect the battery connector.
Reattach the Back Cover
Carefully align and press the back cover onto the phone. Apply gentle pressure around the edges to secure the adhesive. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
Power On the Device
Press and hold the power button to turn on the device. Verify that it powers on correctly and the battery is charging.
