Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power off' from the menu to turn off the Motorola Moto G60 completely.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Use the SIM ejection tool to remove the SIM card tray from the side of the device. This prevents any damage to the SIM card and allows for easier disassembly.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the screen. This softens the adhesive holding the screen in place. Do not overheat, as this can damage the internal components.
Detach the Screen
Place a suction cup on the screen and gently pull up to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the edges to release the adhesive. Be mindful of the display cables.
Disconnect the Display Cable
Once the screen is detached, gently lift it to access the display cable connections. Use tweezers or a spudger to disconnect the display cables from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Screen
Carefully remove the old screen and set it aside. Ensure all adhesive residue is cleaned off the frame using a spudger or adhesive remover if necessary.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device and connect the display cables to the motherboard. Press down gently to ensure secure connections.
Secure the New Screen
Apply adhesive strips or double-sided tape around the edges of the frame. Carefully press the new screen into place, ensuring it is aligned correctly.
Reassemble the Device
Reinsert the SIM card tray and ensure all components are securely in place. Power on the device to test the new screen's functionality.
