Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Turn off your Motorola Moto G60S completely. Use a SIM eject tool or paperclip to remove the SIM card tray. This prevents any accidental damage to the SIM card and ensures safety during the repair.
Heat and Loosen the Adhesive
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the phone for about 2-3 minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the back cover, making it easier to remove.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a suction cup to lift the back cover slightly. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the edges to release the adhesive. Avoid using excessive force to prevent damaging the back cover.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate and remove the screws securing the battery connector shield using a Phillips #00 screwdriver. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard to ensure there is no power supply to the device.
Disconnect the Display Cable
Carefully disconnect the display cable using a spudger or tweezers. Be gentle to avoid damaging the connectors or the cable itself.
Remove the Old Screen
Heat the front of the phone to soften the adhesive securing the screen. Use a suction cup and plastic opening tools to carefully lift and remove the broken screen. Clean any remaining adhesive residue with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame and connect the display cable to the motherboard. Secure the screen with adhesive strips or double-sided tape, ensuring it is properly aligned.
Reassemble the Phone
Reconnect the battery connector and replace the battery connector shield. Secure it with screws. Reattach the back cover by pressing it firmly into place. Ensure all clips are engaged and the cover is securely attached.
