Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Hold down the power button on your Moto G62 5G until the power options appear. Select 'Power Off' and wait for the device to completely shut down.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Use a SIM eject tool or a paperclip to eject the SIM card tray from the side of the phone. Set the tray aside in a safe place.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the screen for about 1-2 minutes. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place.
Separate the Screen from the Frame
Place a suction cup on the screen and gently pull to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the device to loosen the adhesive. Be patient and avoid applying too much force.
Disconnect the Screen Cables
Once the screen is loosened, carefully lift it from the frame. Use a spudger to disconnect the ribbon cables that connect the screen to the motherboard. Set the old screen aside.
Clean the Frame
Use a microfiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol to clean any remaining adhesive from the frame. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before proceeding.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen's ribbon cables to the motherboard. Carefully align the screen with the frame and press gently to secure it in place. Use adhesive strips or double-sided tape to ensure it is firmly attached.
Reassemble the Device
Reinsert the SIM card tray. Power on the device to ensure the new screen is working correctly. If everything is functional, press down gently around the edges to complete the assembly.
Final Check
Test the touch functionality and display of the new screen. Make sure there are no loose edges or unresponsive areas. If all is well, the repair is complete.
