Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Turn off your Moto G7 Supra by holding the power button and selecting 'Power off'. Use the SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device.
Heat the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover. This will soften the adhesive holding it in place. Heat for approximately 1-2 minutes, ensuring the device is warm but not too hot to touch.
Remove the Back Cover
Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap between the back cover and frame. Carefully slide it around the edges to separate the adhesive. Lift the back cover gently once detached.
Disconnect the Battery
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector shield. Carefully lift the shield with a plastic spudger and disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Battery
Use a plastic spudger to carefully pry up the old battery. Do not use metal tools to avoid puncturing the battery. If the adhesive is too strong, apply a bit more heat to the back of the device to soften it.
Install the New Battery
Place the new battery in the slot and press it down gently to adhere it to the frame. Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Secure it with the connector shield and screws.
Seal the Back Cover
Apply new double-sided adhesive tape around the edges of the back cover. Align the cover with the phone and press firmly around the edges to secure it.
Reinsert SIM Card and Power On
Reinsert the SIM card tray into the device. Turn on your Moto G7 Supra by holding the power button. Ensure the phone powers on and functions correctly.
