Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Prepare the Device
Begin by powering off your Moto G71 5G completely. Remove the SIM card tray using a SIM eject tool or a small paperclip. This will prevent any damage to the SIM card during the repair process.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the screen. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place. Move the heat source in a circular motion around the device for about 1-2 minutes, ensuring not to overheat any area.
Lift the Screen
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen and gently pull upwards to create a slight gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully slide it around the edges to separate the adhesive. Take your time to avoid cracking the screen further.
Disconnect the Screen
Once the screen is loosened, carefully lift it from the body of the phone. Locate the display connector and use a spudger to disconnect it from the motherboard. Set the old screen aside.
Prepare the New Screen
Remove any protective films from the new screen. If necessary, apply new adhesive strips or double-sided tape around the frame of the phone. Ensure that the adhesive is evenly applied to prevent dust from entering.
Connect the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device and reconnect the display connector to the motherboard. Gently press down to ensure the connector is secure.
Secure the New Screen
Carefully press the new screen into place, ensuring it adheres evenly to the adhesive. Use a soft cloth and apply gentle pressure around the edges to secure it firmly.
Test the Device
Power on your Moto G71 5G and test the new screen for functionality. Check for responsiveness and display quality to ensure the repair was successful.
