Power Off the Device
Ensure your Motorola Moto G73 is completely powered off before beginning the repair. Press and hold the power button and select 'Power Off' from the on-screen options.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Use a SIM card eject tool or a paperclip to remove the SIM card tray from the side of the phone. Set it aside safely.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently warm the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Use a plastic spudger to carefully pry open the back cover, starting from the edge. Be cautious not to damage the internal components.
Disconnect the Battery
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Use the plastic spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Screen
Heat the front of the device gently with the heat gun to soften the adhesive securing the screen. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool to separate it from the frame. Carefully disconnect the display cable from the motherboard and remove the old screen.
Install the New Screen
Carefully connect the new screen's display cable to the motherboard. Align the new screen with the frame and press it firmly into place. Make sure the screen is secure and properly aligned.
Reattach the Battery Connector
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard and secure it with the screws using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the phone and press it down firmly to secure the adhesive. Ensure all edges are properly sealed.
Reinsert the SIM Card Tray
Insert the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for functionality. Ensure that the touch sensitivity, display, and all functions are working correctly.
