Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Hold down the power button and select 'Power Off' from the options. Wait for the device to completely shut down before proceeding.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Using the SIM ejector tool, remove the SIM card tray from the side of the phone and set it aside safely.
Heat the Screen Edges
Use a hairdryer or heat gun to gently heat the edges of the screen for about 2-3 minutes. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place.
Pry Open the Screen
Place a suction cup near the bottom of the screen and gently pull to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the edges to loosen the screen.
Disconnect the Display Connector
Once the screen is loose, carefully lift it to access the internal connectors. Use a precision screwdriver to remove any screws securing the display connector cover, then use a spudger to disconnect the display cable.
Remove the Old Screen
Once the display connector is detached, carefully remove the old screen from the frame of the phone.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the phone's frame. Reconnect the display connector and secure it with the screws removed earlier. Ensure the connector is firmly attached.
Seal the Screen
Apply new double-sided adhesive strips around the frame where the screen will be placed. Carefully align and press the new screen into place, ensuring a tight seal.
Reassemble the Phone
Reinsert the SIM card tray and ensure all components are securely in place. Power on the device to test the new screen.
Test the New Screen
Once the phone is powered on, test the new screen by checking for touch responsiveness and display clarity. Ensure all functions are working correctly before completing the repair.
