Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button until the power menu appears. Tap 'Power off' to shut down your Moto G9 Power completely.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Using a SIM ejection tool or a paperclip, gently insert it into the hole of the SIM card tray located on the side of the phone. Remove the tray and set it aside.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use a heat gun or hairdryer set on low heat to gently warm the edges of the screen. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place. Do not overheat to avoid damage.
Pry Open the Back Cover
Using a plastic opening tool, carefully pry around the edges of the back cover until it begins to separate from the frame. Be gentle to avoid cracking the cover.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector and use a spudger to gently pry it off the motherboard. This will prevent any power from reaching the device during the repair.
Remove the Old Screen
Using a suction cup, carefully lift the screen while using a plastic opening tool to separate it from the adhesive. Unplug any connectors attaching the screen to the motherboard.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen to the motherboard connectors. Ensure that each connector is securely fastened. Gently place the screen onto the frame and press it into place.
Reattach the Back Cover
Place the back cover onto the phone and press down along the edges to snap it into place. Ensure that the cover is securely attached.
Reinsert the SIM Card Tray
Insert the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone. Ensure it is flush with the surface.
Power On the Device and Test
Press and hold the power button to turn on the device. Test the new screen for responsiveness and display quality to ensure the replacement was successful.
