Power Off the Device and Remove SIM Card
Ensure your OnePlus Nord 2T is completely powered off. Use the SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device.
Remove the Back Cover
Gently heat the edges of the back cover with a heat gun or hairdryer to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to lift one edge of the back cover and insert a plastic opening tool to gently pry it off. Work slowly to avoid cracking the glass.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the mid-frame. Carefully lift the mid-frame cover. Use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard to ensure the device is safe to work on.
Remove the Old Screen
Use the heat gun to gently heat around the edges of the front screen. Use the suction cup and plastic opening tool to carefully lift and separate the cracked screen from the device frame. Be mindful of the display cable and connectors.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the device. Ensure the display cable is properly connected to the motherboard. Secure the screen with new adhesive strips or double-sided tape.
Reconnect and Reassemble
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Replace the mid-frame and secure it with screws. Reattach the back cover by aligning it properly and pressing down to secure the adhesive.
Power On and Test
Reinsert the SIM card tray and power on the device. Test the new screen for touch sensitivity and display quality to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
