Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Prepare the Device
Ensure your OnePlus Nord CE 5G is completely powered off. Remove any SIM cards and memory cards from the device. This helps prevent data loss or damage to the cards during the repair process.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a hair dryer or heat gun to gently apply heat around the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Using a suction cup, create a gap to insert a plastic opening tool. Carefully work your way around the edges to fully detach the back cover.
Unscrew and Remove the Midframe
With a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove all screws securing the midframe. Carefully lift the midframe using a spudger, taking care not to damage any connected components.
Disconnect the Battery Connector
Locate the battery connector and use a spudger to gently disconnect it from the motherboard. Be cautious of other nearby components to avoid damage.
Remove the Old Battery
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully lift the battery, which may be adhered with strong adhesive. Be patient and gentle to avoid bending or puncturing the battery. If needed, apply slight heat to soften the adhesive.
Install the New Battery
Carefully place the new battery into the battery compartment. Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Ensure the battery is securely seated and aligned properly.
Reassemble the Device
Reattach the midframe and secure it with screws. Carefully align and press the back cover into place, applying even pressure to ensure the adhesive bonds properly. Reinsert any SIM or memory cards.
Power On and Test
Power on the device to ensure the new battery is functioning correctly. Check for proper charging and battery percentage readings. Ensure all components are working as expected.
