Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Tray
Begin by powering off your OnePlus Nord CE 5G completely. Use the SIM ejector tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device. This will prevent any damage to the SIM card or tray during the repair.
Heat and Remove Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently warm the edges of the back cover. Be careful not to overheat. Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry open the back cover starting from the edges. Work your way around the device until the cover is fully detached.
Disconnect the Battery
With the back cover removed, locate the battery connector. Use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the connector shield. Carefully use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Screen
Use the heat gun to apply gentle heat to the front screen's edges. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool between the screen and the frame. Carefully work your way around to detach the screen from the frame. Be cautious of the flex cables.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame and connect the flex cables to the motherboard. Make sure the connections are secure. Apply the adhesive strips or glue to the new screen edges and carefully press it into place on the frame.
Reconnect the Battery and Test
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Secure the connector shield with screws. Power on the device to ensure the new screen is functioning correctly. Test touch responsiveness and display quality.
Reattach Back Cover and SIM Tray
Carefully align the back cover and press it into place until it clicks securely. Reinsert the SIM tray into the device. Ensure everything is flush and secure.
