Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair

1

Power Off the Device

2 min

Press and hold the power button until the power menu appears. Tap 'Power off' to turn off the device completely. Ensure that the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

2

Remove the SIM Tray

2 min

Insert a SIM ejector tool or a paperclip into the small hole next to the SIM tray on the side of the phone. Press gently to release and remove the SIM tray. Set it aside safely.

3

Detach the Back Cover

10 min

Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Once heated, use a suction cup to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the edges to release the back cover. Be cautious of adhesive and internal components.

4

Disconnect the Battery

3 min

Locate the battery connector and use a spudger to gently lift and disconnect it. This step ensures no power is flowing through the device while you work on it, preventing short circuits.

5

Unscrew and Remove the Midframe

10 min

Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the midframe. Carefully lift the midframe out of the device and set it aside. This will expose the internal components, including the display connectors.

6

Disconnect the Display Cable

5 min

Locate the display cable connector on the motherboard. Use a spudger to gently lift and disconnect it. Ensure you do not damage the connector or surrounding components.

7

Remove the Old Screen

10 min

Heat the edges of the screen with a heat gun or hairdryer to soften the adhesive holding it in place. Use a suction cup and plastic opening tool to carefully pry the screen from the frame. Work slowly to avoid damaging the frame or internal components.

8

Install the New Screen

10 min

Carefully align the new screen with the frame. Connect the display cable to the motherboard. Secure the new screen in place using adhesive strips or double-sided tape, ensuring a snug fit.

9

Reassemble the Device

8 min

Reattach the midframe using the screws removed earlier. Reconnect the battery connector. Carefully place the back cover on, applying slight pressure to ensure the adhesive bonds properly. Reinsert the SIM tray.

10

Test the New Screen

10 min

Power on the device and test the new screen to ensure it is functioning correctly. Check for responsiveness and display quality. If everything is working as expected, the repair is complete.
