Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Ensure your OnePlus Nord N20 SE is completely powered off before beginning the repair. Hold the power button and select 'Power off' from the options.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Use the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device. This will prevent any damage to the tray during the repair.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the screen. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place. Heat evenly for about 2-3 minutes, ensuring not to overheat any area.
Lift the Screen
Place a suction cup at the lower edge of the screen and gently pull up to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and slide around the edges to separate the screen from the device. Work slowly to avoid cracking the glass further.
Disconnect the Screen
Once the screen is lifted, use the spudger to carefully disconnect the ribbon cables connecting the screen to the motherboard. Take note of the cable positions for reassembly.
Remove the Old Screen
Fully remove the old screen from the device. Ensure all adhesive residue is cleaned from the frame to prepare for the new screen.
Install the New Screen
Position the new screen and connect the ribbon cables to the motherboard. Ensure each connection is secure. Double-check the alignment before proceeding.
Secure the Screen
Apply the adhesive strips around the frame of the device and carefully press the new screen into place. Ensure it is secure and aligned correctly.
Reinsert the SIM Card Tray
Insert the SIM card tray back into its slot.
Power On the Device
Power on your OnePlus Nord N20 SE and test the new screen to ensure everything is functioning properly.
