Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair

1

Power Off the Phone

2 min

Ensure the OnePlus Nord N200 5G is powered off. Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power Off' from the menu. Wait for the device to completely shut down before proceeding.

2

Remove the Back Cover

5 min

Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry off the back cover. Start from the bottom edge and work your way around the perimeter. Be gentle to avoid damaging the clips that hold the cover in place.

3

Disconnect the Battery

5 min

Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector shield. Lift the shield away and use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector. This is crucial to prevent any electrical short circuits during the repair.

4

Remove the Midframe

10 min

Remove the screws securing the midframe using the Phillips screwdriver. Carefully lift the midframe away using a spudger. Take note of the position of each screw for reassembly.

5

Heat and Remove the Screen

15 min

Gently heat the edges of the screen using a heat gun or hairdryer to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly, and insert a plastic opening tool to separate the adhesive. Slowly work your way around the edges until the screen is free. Be careful not to damage the underlying cables.

6

Disconnect and Remove the Old Screen

5 min

Disconnect the display connector using a spudger. Once disconnected, fully remove the old screen. Ensure no adhesive residue remains on the frame to ensure a smooth installation of the new screen.

7

Install the New Screen

10 min

Connect the new screen's display connector to the motherboard. Carefully align and place the new screen onto the frame. Apply firm, even pressure to ensure the adhesive bonds properly.

8

Reassemble the Phone

8 min

Reattach the midframe and secure it with screws. Reconnect the battery and replace the battery connector shield. Finally, snap the back cover into place, ensuring all clips are secure.
