Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Turn off your OnePlus Nord by holding the power button and selecting 'Power Off'. Once the device is off, use the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the side of the phone.
Heat the Rear Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the rear cover. This will soften the adhesive, making it easier to remove. Keep the heat source moving to avoid damaging the cover.
Remove the Rear Cover
Apply a suction cup near the edge of the cover and pull gently. Insert a plastic opening tool in the gap to pry the cover away from the phone. Work your way around the edges until the cover is free.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector shield. Carefully lift the shield with a spudger and disconnect the battery connector to prevent any short circuits.
Remove the Broken Screen
Disconnect the display connector from the motherboard. Use a heat gun to soften the adhesive under the screen. Carefully use a suction cup and opening tool to pry the broken screen away from the frame.
Install the New Screen
Align the replacement screen with the frame, ensuring all connectors are in place. Gently press the screen to adhere it to the frame, using adhesive strips or glue as needed.
Reconnect the Battery and Reassemble
Reconnect the display connector and the battery connector. Replace the battery connector shield and secure it with screws. Snap the rear cover back into place and press firmly to secure the adhesive.
