Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Ensure the phone is powered off completely. Use the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the side of the phone.
Heat the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover. This softens the adhesive, making it easier to remove. Do not overheat to prevent damage to the phone's components.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a suction cup to lift the back cover slightly. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully pry around the edges to release the adhesive. Be gentle to avoid cracking the back cover.
Disconnect the Battery
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the midframe. Carefully lift the midframe and disconnect the battery connector using a spudger to avoid any short circuits.
Remove the Old Screen
Heat the edges of the front screen with a heat gun. Once warm, use a suction cup to lift the screen and a plastic opening tool to separate it from the frame. Disconnect any cables connecting the screen to the motherboard.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the phone frame and reconnect any cables. Use adhesive strips or double-sided tape to secure the screen in place. Ensure the screen is properly aligned before pressing it down firmly.
Reassemble the Phone
Reconnect the battery connector and reattach the midframe using the screws. Carefully align and press the back cover onto the phone, ensuring the adhesive sets properly.
