Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button on the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 until the power menu appears. Tap 'Power Off' and wait for the device to completely shut down.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Use a SIM card eject tool or a paperclip to remove the SIM card tray from the device. Set the tray aside in a safe place.
Heat the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to evenly heat the edges of the back cover. This will soften the adhesive holding it in place. Be careful not to overheat and damage the device.
Remove the Back Cover
Once the adhesive is sufficiently heated, use a suction cup to gently lift the back cover. Insert a plastic opening tool to carefully pry around the edges, releasing the adhesive. Work slowly to avoid cracking the back cover.
Disconnect the Battery
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the midframe. Use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard to prevent any power flow during the repair.
Remove the Broken Screen
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the edges of the front screen. Use a suction cup and plastic opening tool to carefully separate the screen from the frame. Be cautious with the flex cables connected to the screen.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the frame. Connect the flex cables to the motherboard. Test the new screen to ensure it functions correctly before sealing.
Reassemble the Device
Reattach the midframe and secure it with screws. Reconnect the battery connector. Apply new adhesive strips to the back cover, then press firmly to secure it back in place.
Reinsert the SIM Card Tray
Place the SIM card back into the tray and insert it into the device. Ensure it is properly seated.
