Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair

1

Power Off the Device

2 min

Before beginning the repair, ensure that your Galaxy Note 4 is completely powered off. Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power off' from the menu that appears. Wait until the device is fully off before proceeding.

2

Remove the Back Cover and Battery

3 min

Use your fingers or a plastic opening tool to gently pry off the back cover of the phone. Once removed, use your fingers to carefully lift and remove the battery. This will prevent any power from circulating through the device during the repair.

3

Unscrew the Midframe

10 min

Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove all screws securing the midframe. Keep these screws organized as they are different sizes. Once all screws are removed, use a plastic opening tool to gently separate the midframe from the front assembly.

4

Disconnect Display Cables

5 min

Carefully use a spudger or tweezers to disconnect the display cables connecting the screen to the motherboard. Be gentle to avoid damaging the connectors.

5

Remove the Old Screen

15 min

Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently warm the edges of the screen. This will loosen the adhesive. Once heated, use a suction cup to lift the screen while using a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the screen from the frame. Take your time to avoid bending or cracking the display.

6

Install the New Screen

15 min

Align the new screen with the device frame. Carefully connect the display cables to the motherboard, ensuring a secure fit. Apply adhesive strips or double-sided tape to secure the screen into place. Press gently along the edges to ensure proper adhesion.

7

Reassemble the Device

5 min

Reattach the midframe by aligning it with the device and securing it with the screws removed earlier. Ensure all components are properly aligned before tightening the screws.

8

Reinsert Battery and Back Cover

3 min

Place the battery back into its compartment and snap the back cover into place. Ensure that all clips are secured and the cover is flush with the device.

9

Power On and Test

2 min

Power on the device by pressing the power button. Test the new screen for responsiveness and check for any issues such as dead pixels or touch sensitivity problems. If everything functions correctly, the repair is complete.
