Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button until the 'Power off' option appears on the screen. Tap it to turn off your Galaxy Note 5 completely. Wait a few seconds to ensure it is fully powered down.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Insert a SIM card eject tool or a paperclip into the small hole next to the SIM card tray. Press gently to eject the tray, then remove it from the device.
Apply Heat to the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover. Move the heat source in a circular motion for about 2-3 minutes to soften the adhesive holding the back cover in place.
Remove the Back Cover
Place a suction cup near the edge of the back cover and gently pull up to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully slide it around the edges to separate the adhesive. Take your time to avoid cracking the back cover.
Disconnect the Battery Connector
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the internal components. Carefully lift the connector cover and disconnect the battery connector using a spudger to prevent any electrical short while working on the device.
Remove the Display Assembly
Use the heat gun again to apply heat to the edges of the front screen for 2-3 minutes. Use the suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool. Gently work your way around the edges to separate the display assembly from the frame.
Install the New Display
Carefully align the new screen with the frame. Begin pressing the edges down to adhere it securely. Ensure all clips and connectors are properly aligned and connected before sealing the screen.
Reconnect the Battery and Reassemble
Reconnect the battery connector and secure the internal components with screws. Reattach the back cover by applying firm pressure around the edges to re-engage the adhesive. Insert the SIM card tray back into place.
Test the New Screen
Power on your Galaxy Note 5 and test the new screen for functionality. Ensure the touch response is accurate and check for any display issues.
