Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Begin by powering off your Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. Hold down the power button and select 'Power Off' to ensure the device is completely turned off before proceeding.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Use a SIM card ejection tool to remove the SIM card tray from the side of the device. Set it aside safely to prevent loss.
Heat the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to evenly heat the edges of the back cover. This will soften the adhesive holding the cover in place. Be careful not to overheat the device.
Remove the Back Cover
Apply a suction cup to the back cover and gently lift to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully pry around the edges to release the adhesive. Proceed slowly to avoid cracking the back glass.
Disconnect the Battery
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the internal components to access the battery connector. Use a spudger to disconnect the battery from the mainboard to ensure no power flows through the device during the repair.
Remove the Old Screen
Heat the edges of the front screen with a heat gun or hairdryer to loosen the adhesive. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the screen from the frame. Take caution not to damage the underlying components.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame and press it gently into place. Ensure the connectors are properly aligned and connected. Secure the screen using adhesive strips or screen adhesive glue for a firm hold.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the mainboard. Use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to secure any internal components with screws as necessary.
Reattach the Back Cover
Carefully align the back cover with the frame. Apply even pressure around the edges to ensure the adhesive seals properly. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
Test the New Screen
Power on your device to test the new screen. Check for display functionality and touch responsiveness. Ensure everything is working correctly.
