Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power off' on the screen. Wait until the phone is completely turned off before proceeding.
Heat the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover. This will soften the adhesive, making it easier to remove. Be careful not to overheat the device.
Remove the Back Cover
Apply a suction cup near the edge of the back cover. Gently pull up on the suction cup while using a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the back cover from the phone. Work your way around the edges until the cover is free.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the midframe. Carefully lift the midframe and disconnect the battery connector using a plastic tool.
Remove the Old Screen
Gently heat the edges of the front screen with a heat gun. Use the suction cup and opening tool to lift the screen, working around the edges to separate it from the frame. Be cautious not to damage the internal components.
Clean the Frame
Use isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth to clean the adhesive residue from the frame. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before proceeding.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the phone's frame. Press down gently to secure it in place. Reconnect the battery connector.
Reassemble the Phone
Reattach the midframe and secure it with screws. Apply the pre-cut adhesive strips to the edges of the back cover, then press the cover back onto the phone.
Power On and Test the Device
Turn on your phone to ensure the new screen is functioning correctly. Test the touch functionality and display clarity.
