Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Ensure the Samsung Galaxy S10e is completely powered off. Hold down the power button and select 'Power Off' from the options. Wait for the device to shut down completely before proceeding.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to loosen the adhesive. Carefully apply heat in a sweeping motion for about 1-2 minutes. Use a suction cup to lift the back cover slightly, then insert a prying pick to separate it gradually. Work your way around the edges, taking care not to crack the glass.
Disconnect the Battery
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the midframe. Carefully lift the midframe using a spudger. Once removed, use the spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard. This step is crucial for safety.
Remove the Broken Screen
Apply heat to the front of the phone to soften the adhesive under the screen. Use a suction cup to gently lift the screen, and insert a thin prying pick between the screen and the frame. Slide the pick around the edges to detach the screen. Be careful not to damage the display cable. Once detached, disconnect the display cable connector using tweezers.
Prepare the Frame for the New Screen
Use a spudger to remove any remaining adhesive from the frame. Clean the area with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth to ensure a smooth surface for the new adhesive. Ensure the frame is completely dry before proceeding.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the device. Connect the display cable to the motherboard connector. Secure the screen by applying new adhesive strips around the frame. Press down gently to ensure the screen is firmly fixed to the frame.
Reconnect and Secure the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Position the midframe back into place and secure it with the screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Reattach the Back Cover
Apply new adhesive strips to the back cover edges. Align the cover with the device and press firmly to secure it in place. Apply gentle heat if necessary to ensure adhesion.
Power On and Test the Device
Power on your Samsung Galaxy S10e to ensure the new screen is functioning correctly. Test the touch functionality and display to confirm the repair was successful.
