Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button on the Galaxy S20 Ultra until the power-off menu appears. Tap 'Power off' and wait for the device to completely shut down.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the small hole beside the SIM card tray to eject it. Carefully remove the tray and set it aside.
Heat the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently warm the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Be cautious not to overheat the device.
Remove the Back Cover
Once the adhesive is softened, use a suction cup to lift the back cover slightly. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully slide it around the edges to release the adhesive. Gently remove the back cover.
Disconnect the Battery
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Screen
Heat the front edges of the screen carefully to loosen the adhesive. Use a suction cup and a plastic opening tool to lift and remove the damaged screen from the frame. Be cautious of the ribbon cables connecting the screen to the device.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device frame. Connect the ribbon cables to the motherboard and secure them firmly. Ensure the screen sits evenly in the frame.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery connector and replace the cover. Secure it with screws. Carefully align and press the back cover into place. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and check the touchscreen functionality and display quality. Ensure all features operate correctly.
