Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Completely power off your Samsung Galaxy S21 FE and remove the SIM card tray using the SIM eject tool. This ensures the device is safe to work on.
Heat the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover. This loosens the adhesive holding the cover in place. Be cautious not to overheat as this could damage the components.
Remove the Back Cover
Using a suction cup, gently lift the back cover while inserting a plastic opening tool to carefully pry it off. Work your way around the edges to fully detach the cover without bending or breaking it.
Disconnect the Battery
With a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard. This is a crucial safety step to prevent any electrical issues.
Remove the Old Screen
Heat the edges of the device's front to loosen the screen's adhesive. Place the suction cup on the screen and gently pull to create a gap. Insert the plastic opening tool and carefully work around the edges to release the screen from the frame.
Install the New Screen
Clean the frame with isopropyl alcohol to remove any adhesive residue. Position the new screen and connect it to the motherboard. Ensure it sits flush with the device's frame.
Reconnect the Battery and Secure the Back Cover
Reconnect the battery connector and secure it with screws. Apply new adhesive strips around the edges of the back cover and press firmly to secure it in place.
Power On and Test the Device
Re-insert the SIM card tray and power on the device. Test the new screen's responsiveness and check for any display issues to ensure the replacement was successful.
