Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power off' from the options that appear on the screen. Wait until the device is completely powered down.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to apply heat evenly around the edges of the back cover for 1-2 minutes. Use a suction cup to lift the back cover slightly, then insert a plastic opening tool to gently pry it off. Be cautious to avoid damaging the internal components.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector bracket. Carefully remove the bracket and use a nylon spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Broken Screen
Use the heat gun or hairdryer to apply heat around the edges of the screen for about 3 minutes to loosen the adhesive. Use a suction cup to gently lift the screen. Insert a precision knife or thin metal spudger between the frame and the screen to separate them. Be careful not to damage the display cables.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the device frame. Connect the display cables to the motherboard. Ensure the screen is properly seated and secure it with new adhesive strips or double-sided adhesive tape around the edges.
Reconnect the Battery
Reattach the battery connector to the motherboard. Secure it with the bracket and screws using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Reattach the Back Cover
Clean the edges of the back cover with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Apply new adhesive strips around the edges and press the back cover firmly onto the phone. Ensure it is securely in place.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for functionality. Ensure the touch sensitivity and display clarity are as expected.
