Follow these 6 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Prepare the Device
Begin by completely powering off your Samsung Galaxy S21. Once off, remove any SIM cards or microSD cards. This ensures your data is safe and the device is ready for disassembly.
Remove the Back Cover
Using a heat gun or hairdryer, apply heat evenly around the edges of the back cover to loosen the adhesive. Carefully use a suction cup and plastic opening tool to lift the back cover, then slide the tool along the edges to release it completely.
Disconnect the Battery
With the back cover removed, use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to unscrew and remove the protective cover over the battery connector. Use a spudger to carefully disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Screen
Heat the edges of the front screen with a heat gun or hairdryer. Carefully use a suction cup and a plastic opening tool to lift the screen from the frame. It's crucial to be gentle to avoid damaging the internal components. Disconnect the display cable from the motherboard using tweezers.
Install the New Screen
Take the new replacement screen and connect its cable to the motherboard. Ensure the connection is secure. Apply new adhesive strips or double-sided adhesive tape around the edges of the frame. Carefully align and press the new screen into place, ensuring it sits flush with the frame.
Reconnect the Battery and Close the Device
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Replace the protective cover over the battery connector and secure it with screws. Align the back cover and press it into place, applying gentle heat if necessary to reactivate the adhesive.
