Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Tray
Start by powering off your Samsung Galaxy S24 completely. Use the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device. This step is crucial to ensure no power runs through the phone while you work.
Heat the Edges
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the screen. This softens the adhesive securing the display. Be sure to keep the heat source moving to avoid overheating any specific area.
Separate the Screen
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen and gently pull up to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully slide it around the perimeter of the display to separate the adhesive. Take your time to avoid damaging the display cable.
Disconnect the Display
Once the screen is partially lifted, carefully open the device like a book, from the right side. Use a spudger to disconnect the display connectors from the motherboard. Be gentle to avoid damaging the connectors.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen's connectors with the motherboard and gently press them into place. Ensure all connectors are securely attached. Test the new screen by powering on the device before sealing it back up.
Seal the Device
Apply the new adhesive strips around the frame of the device. Carefully press the new screen into place, ensuring it's aligned properly. Use a microfiber cloth to apply even pressure around the edges to secure the screen.
Reinsert SIM Tray and Test
Reinsert the SIM card tray into its slot. Power on the device to ensure the screen functions correctly. Test for responsiveness and clarity, and ensure the adhesive is holding the screen securely.
