Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power Off' to turn off your Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini. Wait for the device to fully power down.
Remove the Back Cover and Battery
Using your fingernail or a plastic opening tool, gently pry off the back cover starting from the groove on the side of the phone. Once removed, take out the battery by lifting it from the bottom edge.
Unscrew the Midframe
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove all visible screws from the midframe. Keep the screws organized as you will need them for reassembly.
Separate the Midframe
Carefully use a plastic opening tool to pry apart the midframe from the display assembly. Work around the edges gently to avoid breaking the clips.
Disconnect the Display Cable
Locate the display connector cable and gently disconnect it using a spudger or tweezers. Be careful not to damage the connector.
Apply Heat to the Screen
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to evenly warm the edges of the screen to loosen the adhesive. Do not overheat to avoid damaging internal components.
Remove the Broken Screen
Place a suction cup near the top of the screen and gently lift. Use a plastic opening tool to help separate the screen from the frame, working around the edges. Proceed slowly to avoid damaging the frame or other components.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the frame. Reconnect the display cable and ensure the replacement screen sits flush within the frame. Secure it with adhesive strips or glue.
Reassemble the Device
Reattach the midframe, ensuring all clips and cables are secured. Replace and tighten all screws using the Phillips #00 screwdriver. Insert the battery and snap the back cover into place.
Power On and Test
Power on the device to ensure the new screen is functioning correctly. Check for proper touch response and display quality.
