Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove Back Cover
Ensure your Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is powered off. Use your fingers or a plastic opening tool to gently pry and remove the back cover of the phone.
Remove Battery and SIM Card
Carefully remove the battery by lifting it out of the compartment. Next, use a spudger to gently push the SIM card out of its slot.
Unscrew and Remove Midframe
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove all screws securing the midframe. Once all screws are removed, use a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the midframe from the phone body.
Release Screen Assembly
Apply gentle heat around the edges of the screen using a heat gun or hair dryer to loosen the adhesive. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly, then insert a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the screen assembly from the frame.
Disconnect Screen Cables
Once the screen is slightly lifted, use tweezers to carefully disconnect any screen cables attaching it to the motherboard. Take care not to damage any connectors.
Install New Screen
Position the new screen over the phone and reconnect the screen cables to the motherboard. Ensure all connectors are securely attached.
Secure New Screen
Apply new adhesive strips or screen adhesive around the edges of the new screen. Carefully press the screen into place, ensuring it adheres properly and aligns with the frame.
Reassemble Device
Reattach the midframe by aligning it with the phone body and securing it with the screws removed earlier. Reinsert the SIM card and battery.
Test New Screen
Before replacing the back cover, power on the device to test the new screen for full functionality. Once confirmed, replace the back cover.
