Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button until the power off option appears on the screen. Select 'Power Off' to turn off your Samsung Galaxy S6 Active completely.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Insert a SIM card removal tool or a paperclip into the small hole of the SIM card tray. Gently push to eject the tray. Remove the tray and set it aside.
Heat the Edges of the Back Cover
Using a heat gun or a hairdryer, apply heat evenly along the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Be careful not to overheat.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a suction handle to lift the back cover slightly. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and gently pry around the edges to release the adhesive. Work slowly to prevent cracking.
Disconnect the Battery Connector
Using a spudger, carefully disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard to ensure no power is flowing through the device.
Remove the Midframe
Unscrew the Phillips screws securing the midframe. Use a spudger or plastic opening tool to carefully separate the midframe from the device.
Disconnect the Display Cable
Locate the display cable connector and gently disconnect it using a spudger. This will allow the removal of the screen.
Remove the Broken Screen
Apply heat around the edges of the front screen to soften the adhesive. Use a suction handle and a spudger to carefully lift and remove the broken screen.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame. Connect the display cable to the motherboard. Secure the screen using adhesive strips or double-sided tape.
Reassemble the Device
Reattach the midframe and secure it with screws. Reconnect the battery. Replace the back cover and press firmly to ensure adhesion. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
