Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button on your Galaxy S6 Edge until the power menu appears. Tap 'Power Off' and confirm to ensure the device is completely turned off before proceeding.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Using the SIM card eject tool, insert it into the small hole next to the SIM card slot. Gently press to eject the tray and remove it from the device.
Heat the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to apply heat evenly around the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Be careful not to overheat, as this could damage internal components.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a suction cup to lift the back cover. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap created and gently pry around the edges to loosen the adhesive. Carefully remove the back cover and set it aside.
Detach the Battery Connector
Locate the battery connector and use a spudger to gently pry it up from the motherboard, disconnecting the battery from the device.
Remove the Midframe Screws
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the midframe. Carefully store the screws for reassembly.
Separate the Midframe
Gently pry the midframe away from the front panel using a plastic opening tool. Be cautious to avoid damaging any cables connected to the motherboard.
Disconnect the Display Cable
Locate and disconnect the display cable from the motherboard using a spudger. This will free the front assembly from the rest of the device.
Replace the Screen
Remove the old screen from the front panel and replace it with the new screen. Ensure all connectors are properly aligned during installation.
Reassemble the Device
Follow the previous steps in reverse order to reassemble the device. Start by reconnecting the display cable, reattaching the midframe, and securing all screws. Finally, reconnect the battery, attach the back cover using new adhesive strips, and insert the SIM card tray.
