Power Off the Device
Hold down the power button on your Samsung Galaxy S7 Active until the power off option appears. Tap 'Power off' and wait for the device to completely shut down.
Remove the SIM Card and Tray
Insert a SIM eject tool or a paper clip into the small hole of the SIM tray. Press to eject the tray and remove it from the device.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Using a heat gun or hairdryer, gently heat the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Move the heat source continuously to avoid overheating any particular spot. Heat for about 2-3 minutes.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a suction cup to lift the back cover slightly. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the edges to separate the adhesive. Set the back cover aside.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Remove the cover and use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector.
Remove the Old Screen
Lift the screen slightly using the suction cup. Carefully insert a plastic opening tool between the screen and the frame. Gently pry the screen away, being cautious of the display cable. Disconnect the display cable once accessible.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen's display cable to the motherboard. Align the screen with the frame and press gently to secure it. Use adhesive strips to fasten the screen in place.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery connector and replace the connector cover. Reattach the back cover by pressing down firmly around the edges. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
