Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Turn off your Galaxy S7 Edge completely. Use a SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device and set it aside.
Heat the Back Cover
Apply heat around the edges of the back cover using a heat gun or hairdryer. This will soften the adhesive. Be careful to not overheat the device; move the heat source continuously for about 1-2 minutes.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a suction cup to gently lift the edge of the back cover. Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap and carefully slide it around the edges to separate the adhesive. Take your time to avoid cracking the glass.
Unscrew and Remove Internal Components
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws holding the internal components in place. Carefully lift the NFC antenna and wireless charging coil using a spudger. Disconnect the battery connector.
Detach the Display Assembly
Heat the edges of the front screen to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup and opening picks to carefully separate the screen from the frame. Be cautious with the display cable at the bottom of the device.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame. Connect the display cable to the motherboard. Ensure a snug fit and press the screen gently into place, using pre-cut adhesive strips for secure attachment.
Reassemble the Phone
Reattach the internal components, ensuring all connectors are secured. Replace and tighten all screws. Reapply the back cover using new adhesive strips, and press firmly to ensure a good seal.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for responsiveness and display quality. Ensure all functions, such as touch sensitivity and display clarity, are working correctly.
