Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Down and Remove SIM Card
Completely power off your Samsung Galaxy S7. Use the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device. This prevents any data loss and potential damage during the repair.
Heat the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to evenly heat the edges of the back cover. Apply heat for about 1-2 minutes to soften the adhesive that holds the back cover in place.
Remove the Back Cover
Once heated, use a suction cup to gently lift the back cover. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully slide it around the edges to release the adhesive. Take your time to avoid cracking the glass.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the shield over the battery connector. Remove the shield and use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector. This ensures no power runs through the device during the repair.
Remove the Front Screen
Heat the front screen using the heat gun to loosen the adhesive. Carefully use the suction cup and plastic opening tools to separate the screen from the frame. Be cautious of the flex cables at the bottom of the screen.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the phone's frame. Reconnect any flex cables and press the screen into place. Ensure the screen sits flush with the frame.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector and replace the shield. Secure it with the screws you removed earlier using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Reattach the Back Cover
Apply new adhesive strips or double-sided tape to the back cover edges. Press the back cover firmly onto the phone, ensuring a snug fit. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
