Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Before starting the repair, ensure that your Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is completely powered off. Hold the power button and select 'Power Off' from the menu.
Remove the Back Cover
Use an iOpener or a hairdryer to evenly heat the edges of the back cover for about 1-2 minutes to soften the adhesive. Carefully use a suction cup to lift the back cover slightly and insert a plastic opening tool to gently pry around the edges. Avoid using metal tools to prevent damage.
Disconnect the Battery
Once the back cover is removed, use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the midframe. Carefully pry the midframe off and use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector to prevent any electrical hazards.
Remove the Old Screen
Heat the front of the phone around the edges to soften the adhesive holding the screen. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the screen from the frame. Avoid damaging the underlying components.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame and ensure it is properly seated. Use pre-cut adhesive strips or adhesive glue to secure the new screen to the device. Press firmly but gently around the edges to ensure a good seal.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery connector and reattach the midframe using the Phillips #00 screwdriver. Carefully place the back cover onto the device, applying even pressure to ensure the adhesive bonds. If necessary, apply heat again to improve the bond.
Power On and Test
Power on your Samsung Galaxy S8 Active and test the new screen to ensure it responds correctly to touch and displays properly. If everything works as expected, you've successfully completed the repair.
