Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button on the side of the Samsung Galaxy S8, then tap 'Power off' on the screen. Confirm to power off completely before proceeding.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Carefully use a suction cup to lift the back cover while inserting a plastic opening tool between the back cover and the frame. Slide the tool around the edges to release the adhesive. Be patient and avoid using too much force.
Disconnect the Battery
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the mid-frame. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard to prevent any electrical issues during the repair.
Remove the Old Screen
Carefully heat the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to gently lift the screen while inserting a plastic tool to pry it away from the frame. Be cautious around the edges and avoid damage to the underlying components.
Clean the Frame
Use isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to remove any remaining adhesive from the frame. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before applying new adhesive.
Install the Replacement Screen
Carefully align the new screen onto the frame. Connect the display cable to the motherboard. Secure the new screen using adhesive strips or the adhesive provided with the replacement screen.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery connector. Replace the mid-frame and secure it with the screws. Realign the back cover, apply light heat to reactivate the adhesive, and press firmly to secure it in place.
Power On and Test
Power on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and check the functionality of the new screen. Ensure touch sensitivity and display clarity are as expected.
