Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Turn off your Galaxy S9 Plus by holding the power button and selecting 'Power Off.' Once off, use a SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the top of the phone.
Heat the Back Cover
Use an iOpener or hairdryer to apply heat evenly around the edges of the back cover of the phone. This will soften the adhesive, making it easier to remove. Heat for about 2-3 minutes, ensuring not to overheat the device.
Remove the Back Cover
Once heated, use a suction cup to lift the back cover slightly. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work around the edges to separate the back cover. Avoid using metal tools to prevent scratching.
Disconnect the Battery
With the back cover removed, use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the NFC and wireless charging coil. Carefully lift the coil and disconnect the battery connector using a spudger.
Remove the Front Screen
Apply heat around the edges of the front screen using the iOpener or hairdryer. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool. Carefully pry around the edges, ensuring to disconnect the display cable once accessible.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device chassis. Connect the display cable securely. Gently press the screen into place, ensuring it is properly aligned and seated.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery connector and replace the NFC and wireless charging coil. Screw it back into place using the Phillips #00 screwdriver. Carefully reattach the back cover by aligning it with the edges and pressing down firmly to secure the adhesive.
Power On and Test
Reinsert the SIM card tray. Power on your device by holding the power button. Test the new screen to ensure touch responsiveness and display quality. Confirm that all features, such as the camera and sensors, function properly.
