Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Turn off your Samsung Galaxy S9 completely. Use the SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray and set it aside.
Heat the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to evenly heat the edges of the back cover. This will soften the adhesive that holds it in place. Be careful not to overheat the device.
Remove the Back Cover
Apply a suction cup near the edge of the back cover to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and gently pry around the edges to release the adhesive. Work slowly to avoid cracking the back cover.
Disconnect Battery and Remove Midframe
Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws securing the midframe. Carefully remove the midframe to access the battery connector. Use a plastic spudger to disconnect the battery connector to avoid any power to the device during repair.
Remove the Broken Screen
Use the heat gun or hairdryer to apply heat to the edges of the screen. Apply a suction cup and gently use a plastic spudger to lift and separate the screen from the frame. Be cautious of the ribbon cable connections.
Install New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the frame. Connect the ribbon cables and ensure a proper fit. Secure the new screen using adhesive strips or glue, applying pressure evenly around the edges.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery connector and reattach the midframe. Secure it with screws. Align and press the back cover into place, ensuring it adheres properly.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for functionality. Check touch responsiveness and display quality to ensure the repair was successful.
